Ben Tennyson smirked, his hands neatly tucked behind his head as the strolled out from the ever enduring Rustbucket, the machine that could break the sound barrier, the machine that could more than likely achieve escape velocity, the machine, which Grandpa Max was currently trying to fix, scrounging around the undercarriage looking for parts to salvage from one place to fix another.
Ben whistled a little as he walked out into the harsh unforgiving desert. He scared some cool looking lizards, but mostly he was just trying to keep from stepping on any cactuses. This part of California you were more likely to spy a UFO than a celebrity. Although all things considered, that was probably better suited to the trio anyway.
“I suppose I really should be training…” He muttered to no one in particular. He still thought turning into aliens was awesome and everything, but after that last time with Wildmutt he’d woken up with Gwen petting his hair and the strangest desire to cuddle with her. It still sent a shiver down his spine, despite the ninety degree heat. He glanced down at the Onmitrix. It could’ve just been a fluke of being Wildmutt, like how Greymatter made him feel all smart and Ghostfreak made him feel all… well, freaky.
